Online Assistive Technologies Initiative
In support of the university’s commitment to provide access to educational opportunities and be a destination of choice for persons of all abilities, UMass Amherst is helping to build a shared community of practice on universal access and assistive technologies across the UMass System.
The Universal Access & Assistive Technologies website, developed by UMass Amherst Information Technology, serves as an online platform to share resources and best practices for campus leaders, faculty, students, and staff, providing guidelines for assistive technology assessment, a forum for collaborations on new developments, and resources for web content accessibility and other related topics.
Information Security Campaign: My Name Is Not A Good Password
Create posters with pictures of your pets, friends, family, or yourself as a reminder to avoid passwords using easy-to-guess words like the names of loved ones!
Participating in the campaign helps users take ownership of their personal responsibility in protecting their information through using strong passwords.
The campaign materials are available to other educational institutions and not-for-profits to customize. This campaign is intended to promote information security in the broadest sense possible. If your organization would like to be part of this campaign, please let us know (firstname.lastname@example.org).
