Measuring the Impact of Affirmative Action on the Employment and Occupational Advancement of Minorities and Women in the United States: A Historical Perspective
My research consists of an empirical examination of the long-term impact of affirmative action on the employment and occupational advancement of minorities and women using large-scale national data obtained from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. I also examine how affirmative action effects have evolved over the past decades, over political administrations with vastly different attitudes towards affirmative action. Finally, I examine the implications of the recent state-level law changes rescinding affirmative action in employment.
