ICPSR Scholarship
Each year our membership with ICPSR offers two tuition waivers for UMass graduate students or faculty to attend summer quantitative methods workshops for four weeks at the University of Michigan’s Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research. This is available for faculty and/or students across the ICPSR Massachusetts member consortium.
This year's recipients are graduate students Chris Burns of Resource Economics and Karen Brummond of Sociology.
If you are interested in applying for a waiver for a summer semester, the following information should be emailed to Karen Mason by next year's deadline, TBA:
1. A current vita
2. A cover letter explaining how participation in the ICPSR Summer Program will contribute toward your academic research goals
3. Two letters of recommendation
The tuition waiver is a $2,500 value. It does not extend to ICPSR summer courses offered off of the UMichigan campus.
Non-Umass ICPSR scholarship opportunities for graduate students can be found here.
