Qiong Chen is a PhD student in the Nutrition department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Qiong received her bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University of Technology in China, and her Master's degree in Nutrition from California State University Chico. Qiong's research interest is to develop and evaluate community-based nutrition interventions for chronic diseases prevention, especially among vulnerable populations like children, women, older adults, and ethnically diverse populations. She is also interested in exploring how technology can be used in nutrition intervention. Qiong's current research examines how diet and physical activity influence women's body composition during menopausal transition.
Qiong will provide consultations on linear regression, logistic regression, and dimension reduction methods such as factor analysis on the SPSS and R software programs.
