Large-scale Integrative Research Award (LIRA) & Integrated Research Grant (IRG)

The Provost and the VCRE offer two seed grant programs for UMass investigators. LIRA offers funds to support integrated team efforts to develop large-scale initiatives. IRG supports faculty teams at the earliest stages of collaboration who may not be targeting external funding.

SBS Grants Program

Faculty in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) may seek funding for research and travel, as well as awards for campus visitors and conferences.
