Graduate students and recent Ph.D.s with strong interest in a career involving adoption research are invited to apply to participate in the 2017 Rudd Summer Adoption Research Institute, May 21 - 26, 2017 on the campus of UMass Amherst.
The Institute provides an opportunity for extended interactions and community-building among a small group of participants and faculty. The Institute opens with a dinner on the evening of Sunday May 21, and closes following lunch on Friday May 26. All attendees are expected to participate throughout the week. Most days will end by 6:00 pm, but some evening activities will also be planned.
Space is limited; we are using the application process to make sure that each participant is a good fit for the goals of the institute. A small cohort of graduate students and recent Ph.D.s will be selected to spend a week together with experienced adoption researchers to build expertise in some of the special methodological and statistical issues inherent in this field.
