The U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Chief Evaluation Office (CEO) announces a competition to fund independent research during 2018-19, culminating in a high-quality working paper relevant to the Department’s policymaking. Awards will be made in the range of $20,000–$50,000 for projects that would contribute to the Department’s mission of fostering, promoting, and developing the well-being of wage earners, retirees, and job seekers. The Department of Labor has contracted with Avar Consulting, Inc. to oversee the 2018–19 DOL Scholars Program.
Application materials are available at https://www.avarconsulting.com/scholars. Applications are due April 06, 2018. Information on projects that have been funded in the past (including final working papers) is available at https://www.dol.gov/asp/evaluation/currentstudies/1.htm. The funding of particular topics in the past does not necessarily affect future funding priorities. For further information, contact ISSR Grants Development Social Scientist Gretchen Gano.
