Learn how to organize and clean your data in Stata!

Do you have a large dataset and don’t know how to organize it? Do you need to clean some data?

In this workshop, participants will learn how to generate new variables, recode existing variables, create labels for categorical variables, and deal with missing data.
This workshop will be mostly beneficial for those who have used STATA and need a refresher and those who are starting a research project and need to clean their data.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Rename variables
  • Recode values
  • Recode missing values
  • Create new variables
  • Label variables and categorical data

Please note that the course will use Stata for PC. A few commands and functionalities differ in Stata for Mac, but Mac users are also encouraged to attend the workshop.
