ISSR Seminar | Making the Most of Your Sabbatical or Fellowship Leave

Event date/time:

Thursday, March 2, 2017 - 12:00pm to 1:30pm
107 Bartlett Hall | UMass Amherst

Three social science faculty will talk about their recent fellowship leaves and the "staybattical." Topics will include the planning process, tips and advice for getting the most out of the experience, and re-entry. We will also provide information on fellowship opportunities for social scientists and the UMass sabbatical policy. This panel will be useful for faculty at any point in their career who are considering applying for a paid fellowship leave and for those within a few years of their sabbatical. This seminar is co-sponsored by ISSR and by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at UMass Amherst. A light luncheon will be served.

Panelists:

  • Janice Irvine (Sociology)
  • Jesse Rhodes (Political Science)
  • Maureen Perry-Jenkins (Psychological and Brain Sciences)
