Designed for those with a basic understanding of the Stata interface and some knowledge of basic Stata commands, this workshop will teach important data management techniques, including how to generate new variables, recode existing variables, label values for categorical variables, and deal with missing data. This workshop will have the most benefit for those who have used Stata and need a refresher course and those who are starting a research project and need to clean their data.
Please note that the course will use Stata for PCs; however, very few commands and functionalities differ in Stata for Mac.
