Jacobs Family Lecture - Prof. Moshe Halbertal

The ISI is pleased to support this year's Jacobs Family Lecture by Professor Moshe Halbertal on November 7 at 5:00 pm in the Cape Cod Lounge on the UMass Amherst campus. This lecture is open to the public and is titled "At the Threshold of Forgiveness: Law and Narrative in the Talmud." In addition to the public lecture, Professor Halbertal will conduct a faculty seminar earlier that day, at 2:00 pm, on "Needs of the Poor: On Giving and dignity in the Talmud" in Herter 301 on the UMass Amherst campus.

Professor Halbertal is the Gruss Professor at NYU Law School and professor of Jewish Thought and philosophy at the Hebrew University. More information about Professor Halbertal can be found here.
