Integrating Your Experience into the Rest of Your Life [PDF]

There are lots of reasons to look forward to going home, but there are also a number of psychological, social and cultural aspects which can prove difficult–often because they are unanticipated. The following list was generated by interviewing students like you who have been through the experience and survived nicely. However, they say you should take the process seriously by being realistic and thinking about it and your possible reactions. They offer the following thoughts on reentry for your consideration in the hope they will make your return both more enjoyable and more productive.

UPDATE! Evaluation

Our online evaluation form for 2007-2008 is now available!
Please answer every question you can.

Transcript/ Credit Questions

Grades from your university abroad will be sent directly to IPO. Keep in mind that it takes a little time for your grades to appear on your transcript. If you have questions about transcripts or credits, please contact Cristina Sosa at 413.545.2710 or csosa@ipo.umass.edu.

Transfer of International Credit Form (TIC)

Did you take different courses than you expected while abroad? Stop by the Advising Center to get the yellow TIC form to get signatures and approval for the courses you took while abroad. This form is similar to the PRAF that you completed before you left, and is intended for courses you took without prior approval.
