Arriving at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) .
It is easiest and quickest to schedule your final air destination at Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston, Massachusetts since Peter Pan Buslines offers a route (about 5 hours) from Logan Airport to the Amherst UMass bus stop (about $35-cash at station or credit card for reservation on-line). In case you are staying overnight in Boston area, there is an alternate Peter Pan Bus stop in South Station Boston (700 Atlantic Avenue) .
Arriving at Hartford (Bradley) International Airport (BDL) Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
To get to UMass Amherst from BDL, you will need to reserve in advance the shuttle service (about an hour to UMass Bus Stop) offered by Valley Transporter. Schedule and fees ($49) are listed here. Travel from JFK Airport to Amherst is complicated and expensive. There are the following options:

Amtrak offers a train service (about 5 hours) (cash/credit card accepted) from New York - Penn Station, to Springfield, MA . Local transportation (cash/credit card) from JFK to Port Authority Terminal visit either the NYC Airporter site or the Airtrain JFK site for more information. You must WALK (10-15 minutes) from the Springfield train station to the bus station to take Peter Pan Buslines from Springfield to UMass Amherst.
