Dependent Information

F1 and J1 visa holders can submit a request for an I20 or DS2019 to bring a spouse or children(s) to live with them in the United States.

The process is outlined below:

1. Print out and complete the Dependent I20/DS2019 Request Form
2. Submit the required financial documents (specific information is found at the bottom of the dependent request form) - bank statements cannot be older than 6 months
3. Submit proof of relationship (e.g. a marriage certificate for a spouse; a birth certificate for children - if the original certificate is not in english than an english translation will also be required)
