India, through an exchange agreement between IIT and UMass Amherst.
The Indian Institute of Technology is one of the most prestigious higher
education institutions in India. In recognition of its major role in engineering
and science education, the Indian government provides strong support to IIT. Its

graduate training in Europe, the US, and Canada, as well as India.
IIT occupies a 320-acre site in the newer part of New Delhi, the capital of
India, which has a population of over six million people. IIT's facilities
include laboratories, sport facilities (swimming pool, tennis and squash courts,
gymnasiums, football field), an infirmary, shopping center, bank and dormitory
(hostel) accommodation. Students take their meals in the dormitories.
