UMass Innovation Minute Pitch Competition - Amherst Room, Campus Center 5pm

Have an idea that could be the start of a great business?  Sign up to pitch to a team of judges and mentors who will give you valuable feedback right after your pitch. The winning team will receive up to $2500. If you are not in the competition, please come watch the fun!

Innovation Challenge Seed Pitch – Journalism conference room (ILC S415)

Selected teams present their business concepts to a panel of judges behind closed-doors. In this pitch, teams must convince the judges why they need money to move forward with their venture. Teams will also get valuable feedback from the judges. The money awarded to each team will vary and will be dependent on progress of venture. You will need an executive summary, a business model canvas, and a paragraph details the next steps for your team.

Innovation Challenge Semi-Final Round - Journalism conference room (ILC S415)

Selected teams present their business concepts to a panel of judges behind closed-doors and compete for a slot in the final competition.

April 7, 2016
Innovation Challenge Final Shark Tank Competition- Campus Center Auditorium & 162-75 OR Amherst room & Hadley room

Hear the final teams pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges who will award $50,000+ in prizes.

Fall 2015 Submission Deadlines  

October 15, 2015 - Last day to submit an Intent to Compete for the Fall Pitch Competition; due by 11:59 PM

October 16, 2015 - Announcement of teams selected for the Fall Pitch Competition

November 17, 2015 - Last day to submit an Intent to Compete and required materials* for the Executive Summary & Money Needs Pitch; due by 11:59 PM

November 18, 2015 - Announcement of teams selected for the Executive Summary & Elevator Pitch Competition

Spring 2016 Submission Deadlines

February 5, 2016 - Last day to submit an Intent to Compete for the Semi-Final Round; due by 11:59 PM

February 9, 2016- Announcement of teams participating in the closed-door Semi-Final Round

March 4, 2016- Announcement of top teams for Final Competition (coming out of Semi-Final Round)

March 31, 2016 - Plans and Video Pitches submitted to judges by the selected finalists prior to Final Competition and awards event; due by 12:00 Noon
