Student Training Grants - Feb 1st Deadline
Each ICE IGERT Student Training Grant provides up to $750 to support an interdisciplinary professional development activity in the field of cellular engineering. Students have used these awards to present their research at conferences, attend professional workshops, perform research "externships" in collaborator labs, and establish new research collaborations/projects. For detailed instructions and tips for getting your proposals funded, please read the application. As a reminder, ALL ICE IGERT members (including associates, domestic and international) are eligible to apply! Applications are accepted Feb 1st, June 1st and Oct 1st. Student-run Research Seminar and Journal Club
Are you interested in learning about interdisciplinary research topics in a casual, comfortable peer setting? Join us for the ICE IGERT Student Research Seminar (fall, Chem-Eng 797R) or the ICE IGERT Journal Club (spring, ChemEng 797S), where students take turns presenting research and moderating discussions with peers from an array of home departments. Career Day Event Attracts More than 100 Attendees!
On July 13, 2011, a team of interdisciplinary graduate students led by the ICE IGERT and CBI programs organized a Career Day event entitled The First Five Years: What to Expect? More than 100 students and post-docs gathered to gain valuable insights and perspective from early career industry and academic professionals.
