Novel Polymeric Materials for Biological Sensing, Drug and Gene Delivery
Targeted delivery of drugs and genes is an important goal of biomedical research. In the case of gene delivery, we are designing and developing polymeric vehicles that exhibit transfection efficiency that rival the best known non-viral vehicles. Our strategies also lend themselves for targeting specific cell types. Similarly, targeted chemotherapeutic drug delivery vehicles are also being designed in oru lab. In the case of biological sensing, we are interested in sensing a specific protein and nucleotide sensing.
