The ever-growing volume, complexity and potential of life science data exceed the capacity of current analytical techniques. Turning these data into new knowledge and actionable insights requires a new generation of statistical and computational methods. As well, it is critical that complex analyses be made generally accessible to others in the best traditions of scientific communication and reproducible research.

In light of these concerns, ICB3 promotes the development, application, and dissemination of new analytical methods to enable discoveries involving large-scale data. To achieve this, we engage biostatisticians, computer scientists, biologists, life scientists, and others from academia, industry and government organizations in collaborative research and educational efforts.
