Laura N. Vandenberg, environmental health sciences and M2M, comments in a story about how preparing meals in advance, while generally a healthy practice, does run the risk of exposure to chemicals such as bisphenol A, an endocrine disruptor, that is found in plastic containers that are used to heat prepared meals.

On Friday, June 30, more than 120 people from dozens of advanced and precision manufacturing firms, research and development companies, commercial lenders and community colleges came to learn first-hand about how the newly opened core facilities can help them to boost the state’s manufacturing economy.

In a recent paper in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Peter Chien (M2M and biochemistry and molecular biology) and Kamal Joshi, a doctoral candidate in the molecular and cellular biology graduate program, show that adaptor degradation is highly regulated in a specific, substrate-sensitive way.
