GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Working
under the general direction of the Associate Director of Hampshire
College
Health Services, this position is responsible for evaluation and
treatment
of a wide range of patients presenting to clinic; participates
in
preventative mental health programs as a consultant and leader of workshops;
provides
specialized services such as alcohol/drug interventions and outreach.
Crisis/liaison
services, including regular intervention with emergency situations
and
highly acute patient situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Masters degree in social work (MSW),
licensure in
independent practice of social work (LICSW).
2. 3-5 years of relevant professional
experience, at least two of which must be
post graduate degree.
3. On-call responsibility requires after hours
time.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the Director of
Administrative Computing Technology, the
Instructional Technology Systems Administrator is
responsible for the
configuration, management and support of all campus
Course Management System
(CMS) Services on multiple computer systems operated
by the Office of Information
Technologies for campus use. These CMS Services are
a critical part of the
delivery of online course materials to over 20,000
members of the campus
community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
A
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years experience, OR a Master’s degree and 1-3 years
experience, in a broad range of computing technologies, programming, and
applications software; especially in the areas of large mission critical web
application support and Unix Linux systems administration.
2.
Knowledge
of the range of security issues related to web-based applications and
approaches to securing such environments.
3.
Proven
expertise with respect to computing systems, applications, and programming
skills appropriate to Linux systems and network administration in a large
multi-tiered web application environment. Systems should include, but are not
limited to UNIX/Linux, and PC and Mac clients. Programming and applications
skills should include, but are not limited to Java, Perl, PHP, XML, and
JavaScript. Experience with shell scripting in Bash highly desirable.
4.
Experience
with Blackboard/WebCT CE or
5.
Experience
with BEA Weblogic Application Server and/or multi-tier web applications highly
desirable. Experience with Oracle database software and clustered server
environments also highly desirable.
6.
Excellent
communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented
attitude are paramount. Ability to work
cooperatively with peers, taking a leading role on collaborative projects.
7.
Must
be enterprising, diplomatic, and proactive at solving problems.
8.
A
demonstrated ability to work effectively, in a highly organized manner. Must be
flexible to changing needs and priorities and able to work accurately and
productively in an environment that can involve many interruptions and changing
priorities.
9.
A
willingness to take on new and challenging tasks as they arise.

Facility Director
GENERAL
STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
A Facility Director (FD) is sought for the
EPRC Photovoltaics Facility, which is
part of an interdisciplinary research
center for polymer-based solar energy
research, funded for five years by the U.S.
Department of Energy starting August
2009.
The Center tenure is renewable for an additional five years, based on a
performance review in or about 2014. The FD will report to the EPRC Managing
Director, and consult as needed with the
EFRC faculty co-Directors. The FD will
run and maintain all instrumentation in the
facility, which includes inert
atmosphere glove boxes, photovoltaic test
device fabrication equipment,
spectrometers, a photoelectron
spectrometer, and various related equipment.
The
FD make carry out experiments as needed
using the facility equipment. The FD
will be responsible for training
researchers for proper self-use of Facility
equipment, maintaining current user lists,
keeping users informed about equipment
status, and creating/maintaining a
time-block reservation system for Facility
equipment.
The FD will set and maintain appropriate safe-practice work
procedures and Facility access/security
protocols in consultation with the
Managing Director and EFRC
co-Directors. The FD will also be
expected to attend
any Center-funded training at vendor sites
as needed to learn how to run and
maintain instrumentation acquired as part
of the Facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Bachelor’s degree in a science related field (electrical eng, chemistry,
chem.
2.
5-7 years experience in industrial or academic labs dedicated to
photovoltaics or equivalent exp.
3.
Knowledge or lab equipment & materials used in fabricating materials
&
devices for photovoltaics, environment.
4.
Must be self-motivated
5.
Ability to work independently within a team environment.
6.
With excellent problem solving skills & attention to detail.
7.
Excellent organizational, record keeping skills a must.
