Educator III

UMass Extension Nutrition

Worcester

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

 

The Worcester Nutrition Educator III provides leadership for the UMass Extension

office in Worcester; develops, leads, supervises, and manages the UMass Extension

Nutrition Education Program in the Worcester area; seeks funding opportunities;

manages program budgets; hires, trains, and supervises nutrition education and

clerical staff; and works in partnership with other agencies and organizations to

plan and implement the nutrition education program. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.  Masters degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field plus 3 years

    relevant professional experience OR Bachelors degree and 5 years experience

    relevant to the position.

2.  Excellent interpersonal and group process skills.

3.  Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in professional team efforts

    with diverse groups of people.

4.  Knowledge and demonstrated ability to implement education theories and

    practices with diverse audiences.

5.  Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software and use of internet

    for research and communication.

6.  Ability to travel for local, regional and statewide activities. 

 

 

Hiring Salary Range:  $46,700-$58,300      Normal Starting Salary:   $46,700-$52,500.
