STUDENT RECEIVABLES MANAGER

OFFICE OF THE BURSAR

 

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

 

Under the direction of the Bursar, manages student tuition and loan receivables

balances totaling over $50 Million to ensure maximum collectability and

appropriate servicing of past due accounts.  Works closely with the Bursar,

Financial Aid, Controller’s Office as well as loan servicers and collection

agencies to recommend and implement policy and procedure changes to improve

default rates and aging of receivables.  Retrieves and analyzes data from the 

student financial system and loan servicer databases to ensure reconciliation of

financial activity and provide support for recommendations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.  Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business management or related field,

    with 4 years related experience managing financial activity in accordance

    with complex governmental and institutional regulations.

 

2.  Supervision and management of personnel in a complex organization with

    ability to collaborate in a team-based environment.

 

3.  Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to

    compose effective correspondence and adhere to high levels of customer

    service; strong negotiation skills.

 

4.  Demonstrated experience in accessing and interpreting complex financial

    data through use of query tools, MS Word, Excel and other applications.

 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $44,300 - $55,500.  Normal Starting Salary: $44,300 - $49,900.

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

ISENBERG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

 

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the Isenberg School of Management will be

responsible for the strategic oversight and implementation of the School’s

marketing and communication efforts to assure that a consistent image of

excellence is portrayed in all materials and for developing strategies for

enhancing and focusing that image. 

 

Creating a brand identity for Isenberg is critical to compete with other business

schools. The brand messaging must be consistent across all programs and

initiatives. The CMO will be central to developing and implementing the branding,

for ensuring the quality and scope of multi-media coverage, and for measuring its

effectiveness in achieving marketing goals.  The CMO will promote the School's

brand through traditional and non-traditional public relations, promotional

events/vehicles and advertising in support of all Isenberg activities, including

but not limited to, admissions, advancement/alumni relations, career services,

and faculty development. The CMO will exercise direct supervisory responsibility

over Isenberg Communications staff, and will work with other Isenberg staff

engaged in marketing efforts within their individual departments, programs,

centers, development and service areas to assure integration related to all

Isenberg’s marketing and communication efforts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.  Bachelor’s degree in business, humanities, fine arts or social sciences

   (Master’s preferred) and at least 7 years of experience in a position

   responsible for the production of creative outputs are required.

1.  Knowledge and experience in marketing, public relations and communications

    principles and standards.

2.  Advanced knowledge of social media usage (e.g. Facebook, Linked-in, Twitter)

    to affect organization communication goals.

3.  Knowledge and experience with publication design, advertising and marketing

    principles.

4.  Knowledge of and experience in establishing and maintaining relationships

    with media.

5.  Demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and compellingly.

6.  Experience working with commercial printers and knowledge of printing

    technology.

7.  Ability to maintain positive approach under pressure.

8.  Ability to design, write and edit traditional and non-traditional public

    relations and advertising.

9.  Advanced interpersonal and community relations skills.


10. Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.

11. Ability to provide visual attention and attention to written accuracy and

    detail.

12. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.  Ability to work

    independently, problem solve, take initiative, set priorities, handle

    multiple projects, and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic,

    deadline-driven environment in an organized and professional manner.

13. Flexibility to work non-standard hours.

 

 

Hiring salary range: $53,300-$67,500    Normal Starting Salary Range: $53,300-$60,400

 

For a candidate with exceptional qualifications, a salary of up to $74,600/year

may be considered.

of Education and Engagement is responsible for maximizing the impact of all Fine Arts

Center arts education programs by developing relationships with both on and off

campus audiences. The Director provides direct oversight for FAC Education and

Engagement initiatives; plans, organizes, markets, directs and assesses these

programs

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.  Required qualifications: Master’s degree in Fine Arts and 3 years’ experience

    in project management and execution, networking and development of partnerships

    and alliances or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience.

2.  Previous grant writing experience, strong administrative, writing and oral

    skills.

3.  Working knowledge of computer word processing, design and database programs.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks a Physical Therapist with expertise

in sports medicine and manual therapy skills for an AAAHC accredited health

center committed to providing comprehensive high quality patient care with an

emphasis on prevention and education for 30,000 students, faculty, staff and

families in an academic environment.  Looking to expand a busy, high energy

clinic with an increase in demand.  This is a full-time, benefitted position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1.  Licensed by the MA Board of Allied Health Professions as a Physical

    Therapist.  Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy or Master’s degree in

    Physical Therapy with at least two years of clinical experience or

    Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy with at least four years of

    clinical experience.

2.  Experience in orthopedic physical therapy preferred.

3.  Performs duties which require considerable manual dexterity and hand-eye

    coordination, sufficient strength to lift extremities, transfer patients and

    to stand for at least 60% of the day. 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $53,300 - $67,500.  Normal Starting Salary: $53,300 - $60,400.
