The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a
highly motivated individual
to help develop and monitor
the Campus Operating Budget. It is an exciting time
to work at the state’s
flagship institution as the campus is engaged in its
largest building campaign in over
four decades and is increasing the size of its
faculty
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
In addition to assisting with monitoring the
expenditure budget, the Forecasting
& Budget Analyst will assist with revenue and
expense projections and trend
analysis using various financial
models. The successful candidate will work
regularly with Excel, PeopleSoft, and
other financial applications. This
position also interacts on a daily
basis with financial managers across campus,
providing assistance and oversight on
all budgetary matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
Bachelor’s degree, business or finance preferred, and three years
related
experience.
2.
Graduate degree in business, finance or related field is preferred.
3. An
understanding of accounting and budgeting principles and knowledge of
microcomputer applications (EXCEL, Word,
PowerPoint).
4.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills, the ability to
communicate effectively in oral and written
expressions, and the ability to
work as part of a team.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $44,300
– $55,500; NORMAL STARTING SALARY: $44,300 - $49,900

HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER
POWER PLANT ENVIRONMENTAL
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the direction of the
Assistant Director for Environmental & Hazardous
Materials Management
Services, the person holding this position will
coordinate and perform various environmental, health, and safety
functions critical to the operation of the University of Massachusetts
Amherst Power Plant. He/She will be responsible for providing technical
support for,
and
coordination of, overall power plant environmental compliance,
including Federal and State Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act,
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Emergency Planning, Community
Right to
Know Act, and
health and safety compliance, as well as
implement UMA policies and
procedures. This
person will maintain
effective relationships with other departmental
employees, plant
management and employees, community representatives and regulators.
He/She will
also lead or assist with campus environmental health and
safety functions as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related
field.
2. At least five years of power industry or
directly related industrial
experience.
3. Knowledge of major environmental legislation
involving
Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, hazardous material and waste
management.
4. Advanced working knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, DOT
and NEPA.
5. Excellent communication skills
including oral presentations and
technical writing abilities.
6. Ability to analyze problems, make sound judgments and provide prudent
recommendations to all levels of UMA.
7. Knowledge of environmental permitting process and
experience with
required reporting requirements.
8. Knowledge of applicable environmental
statutes and regulations and
familiarity with the principles associated
with maintaining strong
environmental programs.
9. Clear understanding of
power and fuel site operations, including the
interrelationship of power operation and environmental and
safety
compliance.
10. Strong oral and written skills.
11. Prefer CHMM, CEP, or other nationally recognized environmental
certification.
12. Some
night and weekend hours required.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $48,800 – $67,400;
NORMAL STARTING SALARY: $48,800 - $55,000

Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean
for Educator Licensure, the
Field Experience Specialist works with faculty and
students in educator licensure
programs as well as teachers and
administrators in partnership schools to ensure
that students in educator
licensure programs meet all of the state and national
accreditation requirements for quality
and diverse field experiences, and to
develop, facilitate and enhance
collaborations with partnership schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master’s degree in Education or
related field.
2. Three years of relevant work experience
in education settings.
3. Knowledge of policies and practices
related to P-12 schools and of
Massachusetts
Educator Licensure requirements and programs.
4. Supervisory experience and ability to
recruit, hire, train, supervise and

tasks for graduate students.

experiences.
6. Must have excellent analytical and

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a
Systems Manager to oversee
computing and information systems for
the Graduate School. The Systems
Manager
will design and implement new
computing applications for the Graduate School.
Responsible for data analysis and reporting of
admission and records data both
internally and externally. Coordinates ongoing testing of upgrades
and
patches/fixes for all systems. Decides and installs hardware and
software
acquisitions for the Graduate
School. He/She
represents the Associate Graduate
Registrar and/or Graduate Registrar in matters
pertaining to graduate admissions,
enrollment, records and degree
requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's
degree in Information System/Information Technology, Computer
Science, Management or related field plus 4 years related administrative
computing experience; or, equivalent
combination of education, training and
experience.
2. Demonstrated experience with a complex
business application, as a programmer
and/or analyst.
3.
Demonstrated experience with a broad range of computing environments and
systems, including PC's and client/server
systems, and with user training.
4.
Candidates must have 3 years direct supervisory experience, and
experience
supporting a broad range of clients (all
organization levels, technical and
non-technical) in a customer-oriented position.
5.
Excellent oral and written communication; interpersonal and managerial
skills.
6.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
7.
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals (faculty, staff,
students, etc.).
8.
Demonstrated knowledge of current PC hardware, operating systems, and
application development with tools such as and
MS Access, SQL and JAVA.
9. Demonstrated
knowledge of End-user reporting and analysis tools such as BI
Publisher, OBIEE, Crystal Reports, PeopleSoft Query
and MS Excel. A working
understanding of Network administration using
Active Directory.
Preferred Qualifications:
10. Work experience in higher education setting,
experience with Document Imaging
Software, and knowledge of federal, state, and university laws, regulations
and procedures in regard to the maintenance of
student records.

is looking for a full-time, 43-week position (37.5 hours/week) providing
primary
care medicine
in our AAAHC accredited healthcare facility with a national

cultural/recreational opportunities. HCHS provides services to students and

QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE
PRACTITIONER: Graduate of an accredited BS degree
nursing education program or
equivalent experience, plus completion of masters
level program for nurse
practitioner; current license to practice professional
nursing, and practitioner
certificate from a national nursing organization and
current registration in
Massachusetts. Two years Nurse
Practitioner experience
(1 of which may be in N.P.
clinical education experience) must include
prescriptive practice in an ambulatory
care setting. Experience in interpreting
diagnostic tests including laboratory
and x-ray results. Currently
certified in
basic CPR, annually renewed. Candidates must demonstrate ability to

patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
FOR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Graduate of an accredited BS degree
program
and completion of accredited program of medical education and licensed as

physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or licensed as a

assistant outside of Massachusetts and license is transferable to
Massachusetts. The transfer must be completed within
six months of date of hire.
Two
