Dependent Care Assistance Program

The Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) allows you to pay for certain dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. Participating in DCAP can significantly reduce your Federal and Massachusetts state income taxes. Through DCAP, you may pay on a pre-tax basis for qualified dependent care expenses such as day care, nursery schools, and day camp.

Eligibility
University employees may enroll in the DCAP during October any year for the following calendar year or upon a qualified change in status. You must return a completed enrollment form to the Human Resources Service Center (325 Whitmore Administration Building) each October if you wish to participate in the DCAP during the following calendar year.

Enrollment
Annual Enrollment for participation the following calendar year's is the month of October. You may also enroll in DCAP in the instance of certain qualifying events. See the DCAP brochure or contact Human Resources.
