Welcome to the Hormesis Web Site

This site describes reseach progress aimed at evaluating the extent to which hormesis is evident in a wide range of settings. The focus of the site is a set of dose-response studies made available from the National Cancer Institute. These studies were conducted over time on a wide variety of chemicals following a more or less standard protocol. Studies were conducted using different cell lines, with 70 cell lines used for various cancer sites, and 13 strains used for yeast.

The purpose of this site is to describe research that is currently being conducted to investigate hormesis among this set of studies. Much of the material on the site is password protected . To gain access to the material, please send a request to Dr. Calabrese.
