Phi Alpha Theta
The Department sponsors a chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national History honor society. For information, visit this page, contact the faculty advisor, Laura Lovett, or visit the society's official website.
Internships
We have also compiled a reference binder with internship opportunities, available in the lounge area across from the 6th floor elevators in Herter. Additionally, there is a bulletin board about internships next to Room 613.
Scholarships
There is a breadth of scholarship, fellowship and study abroad grant opportunities available to history majors. Visit the scholarship page for an updated list of funding opportunities available now.
Departmental Prizes for Undergraduates
The History department is proud to award a number of scholarship prizes to outstanding History majors every year. Although some prizes are awarded via paper contests, most prizes are awarded by the department based on academic merit. Faculty members meet to elect students with the highest scores in the department at the end of the year; students need not submit documentation to the faculty.
