Accessing the Lizzie Borden course site:

URL: http://ccbit.cs.umass.edu/lizzie/index.html

1. Navigate through the "student" link

2. This brings you to the HIST 297B course home page. Navigate through the "Virtual Archive and On-line Activities" link

3. You have just navigated into the course modules home page. You will need to do some additional navigational steps to access Modules 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Module 1 is not password protected.

4. To access Modules 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, follow the following steps:

a. Navigate through the appropriate module link. NOTE: you will receive an error message at this point. Don't panic.

b. Override the last filename in the module's URL.

For example:

http://ccbit.cs.umass.edu/lizzie/Student.dir/Modules.dir/module_2.dir/module_2.html

Change "module_2.html" to "lizzie_2.html"

Your URL should now read:

http://ccbit.cs.umass.edu/lizzie/Student.dir/Modules.dir/module_2.dir/lizzie_2.html

c. For Module 3, override the last filename with beth_3.html

Module 4, with www_4.html

Module 5, with herter_5.html

Module 6, with 297b_6.html
