Synopsis:

This seminar covers the development of capitalism from the late 19th century through age of globalism, along with corresponding forms of national politics and labor relations. It will also examine the constitution and reconstitution of the workforce as reflected in race and gender relations at work and in the community. Students are responsible for weekly papers and reports on various topics.
