History 797S: Scientific Revolution

Synopsis:

Research seminar, sequel to History 697S. Students will propose and carry out research on some aspect of the Scientific Revolution of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The goal is a substantial, article-length research paper that addresses contemporary problems in the history of science in this period, drawing on primary sources. Students who did not take the fall readings seminar may enroll with the permission of the instructor.
