American Historiography 1865 -Present

Synopsis:
This course is designed to introduce students to a range of interpretations of historical writing on aspects of US history since the Civil War. The course will be organized chronologically but will include a consideration of contemporary historiographical problems and frameworks. Students will be asked to present materials and to actively construct the vision for the course.
