Beyond the Department
History majors are often also great candidates for other scholarships and prizes, which may be awarded at the college or university level or through other campus entities, like Commonwealth Honors College, W.E.B. Du Bois Library, the Alumni Association, etc, as well as national and international awards. If you have received an award that’s not listed above, please let us know! Similarly, if you are wondering if your work or record might be a good fit for another scholarship or other recognition—please ask; we don’t know everything relevant that you’re doing unless you tell us! Some such prizes and scholarships that history majors have won include:
UMass 21st Century Leader Award recognizing outstanding leadership in graduating seniors.
The HFA Senior Leaderships Award awarded to seniors within the College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
