Study Abroad Scholarships

Students who applied through AcademicWorks for scholarships available to HFA majors and who were selected for awards were notified via their UMass e-mail account on April 25, 2018. Those who applied but were not chosen will not be sent a message with that information.

The transition to full implementation of AcademicWorks is an ongoing process and we appreciate your patience as we adapt and adjust to the new system.

All of the study abroad scholarships listed below are administered by the HFA Dean's Office and open to undergraduate students majoring in any of the college's departments except the Charles Mark Scholarship.  UMass Amherst students enrolled in language courses through the Five College Center for the Study of Foreign Language may wish to consider the Mark Scholarship.

Prospective applicants for the French and Italian Studies fund for Academic Excellence, Horizontes, and HFA Study Abroad Scholarships should follow the instructions on the How to Apply page.  They are also encouraged to take advantage of scholarship information posted on the International Programs Office website.
