Logos & Wordmarks

The College's graphic system consists of a logo (the HFA crossbar monogram) and a wordmark (the words "College of Humanities & Fine Arts") designed in 2014 by the Northampton, MA-based creative firm Transit Authority Figures in consultation with the Dean, the Director of Marketing and Communications, department heads and chairs, and program directors.

The wordmark and logo can be used together as a single element in various lockups, or the logo may be used alone. See Standards & Policies for the identity specifications of different types of publications. HFA also provides logo variations for use on the department level, which include the HFA logo in lock up with both the HFA wordmark and a department wordmark. In all cases, the UMass Amherst wordmark must also be visible. Contact Sarah Gibbons for the department logos and logo variations in lockup with the UMass Amherst wordmark.
