Our students come from a wide range of work and academic experience. Those seeking to study within the Human Dimension of Marine and Coastal Ecosystem Program typically have an interest in the social sciences that pertain to resource management. Often students entering the program are trained in the biophysical sciences and have made, or are seeking to make, a transition to the human dimensions of resource management. However, the increasing prevalence of social sciences in university resource management programs has ensured that some students enter with a better-developed background in human dimensions.
