Graduate students in the Human Dimensions of Marine and Coastal Ecosystems program learn to navigate the social, economic, and political systems of natural resource management. In a sense, they become generalists, and have the opportunity to take classes and conduct research across a broad spectrum of disciplines. These include: political science, geography, sociology, psychology, and resource economics.
