Students are transforming the campus to be greener, cleaner, and healthier. Sustainability Fellows initiate and oversee campus projects such as: the campus Bike Share Program, Sustainable Move Out, energy competitions in the residence halls, composting and recycling at sporting events. Our students actively influence campus-wide sustainability policies. Our student Eco-Reps lead sustainability education trainings in the dorms. UMass Permaculture won first place nationwide in the White House’s “Campus Champions of Change.” Our graduates get great jobs transforming businesses, colleges, and organizations to become more sustainable.
