Mike Swain, UMASS Amherst Environmental Health and Safety Officer and friend to the Fraternities and Sororoities, was recently recognized for his outstanding serice and contibutions to the fire safety field - the 2008 MA Fire and Life Safety Educator of the Year Award.

Passing of George Tiller (Kansas '63)
Shooting Death of Kansas Alumnus Sparks Conversation Among Delta Chis
Delta Chi is sad to announce the shooting death of Dr. George Tiller (Kansas '63).
Dr. Tiller was shot and killed on May 31, 2009, during worship services at the Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita, where he was serving as an usher and handing out church bulletins.
Dr. Tiller was a very generous donor to the Kansas Chapter, especially during their most recent house expansion. He leaves behind a 45 year marriage, 5 children, 40 grandchildren and a business with over 30 employees.
