Funding Opportunities for Women Graduate Students

American Association of University Women - Dissertation Fellowships. $15,000 fellowships available to women in their final year of a doctoral degree program. http://www.aauw.org/fga/fellowships_grants/american.cfm

American Association of University Women - International Fellowships. $16,500 awards to women graduate students studying in the United States who are not U.S. citizens. http://www.aauw.org/fga/fellowships_grants/international.cfm

American Association of University Women - Selected Professions Fellowships. Approximately $8000 awards for women in the final year of graduate study in historically under-represented professions. http://www.aauw.org/fga/fellowships_grants/selected.cfm

American Statistical Association - Gertrude Cox Scholarship. $1,000 scholarship designed to encourage more women to enter statistically oriented professions. http://www.amstat.org/

Business and Professional Women's Foundation - BPW Career Advancement Scholarship. $1,000 scholarship to assist women who want to further their education, advance their career, or will soon enter/re-enter the workforce. http://www.bpwusa.org/

Coordinating Council for Women in History - CCWH / Ida B. Wells Graduate Student Award. An annual competition for graduate student awards to assist in the completion of dissertation work in any field of history. http://theccwh.org/awards.htm

Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation - Graduate Scholarships. Scholarships available for women pursuing a graduate degree.

Lucent Technologies Foundation Bell Laboratories - Graduate Research Program for Women. $17,000 fellowships for full time doctoral students in order to increase female representation in science and engineering.

National Science Foundation - Women in Engineering and Computer and Information Science. Up to $21,500 for women who intend to pursue graduate degrees in the areas of engineering or computer and information science. http://www.ehr.nsf.gov/dge/programs/grf/

Women's Sports Foundation - Dorothy Harris Endowed Scholarship. $1,500 scholarship to assist women graduate students pursuing one of the following fields of study: Physical Education, Sport Management, Sport Psychology, or Sport Sociology.
