American Society for Microbiology, Robert D. Watkins minority Graduate Fellowship. A three year $45,000 stipend available for doctoral candidate in the microbiological sciences.

National Institute of Mental Health, Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Neuroscience and Behavioral Science, Underrepresented Minority Dissertation Research Grants in Mental Health. A $25,000 grant for PhD students conducting research on mental health or mental disorders.
National Science Foundation, Minority Postdoctoral Research Fellowships NSF 00-139. A two- year fellowship up to $108,000 is available for postdoc research in the biological sciences.
