Marine Station


The Marine Station is an interdisciplinary research facility located on the coast in Gloucester, approximately 35 miles north of Boston. Deep-water mooring is provided for research vessels. The station is equipped for a wide range of marine biochemical, biological, and chemical studies in laboratories with modern research equipment, machine shop, and small library. Both basic and applied research are conducted by faculty and graduate students from the Amherst campus.
