Katherine V. Smith
Katherine V. Smith is vice president for advancement and chief operating officer for the UMass Foundation. Prior to joining the UMass Foundation she was associate vice president for school relations and corporate and foundation fundraising at Boston College. She worked for many years at Brown University, serving as associate vice president of research and associate vice president of development She received a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University in 1986 and a master’s from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1988. Smith lives in Swampscott, Mass.
