Melvin Howard ’57
Melvin Howard is president and chief executive officer of Sector Management and former vice chairman of Xerox. He is a founder and current chair of the advisory board of Commonwealth College at UMass Amherst. Howard created the Melvin Howard Fund, which supports scholarships or research for Commonwealth College students. In 1999 he was awarded the Chancellor’s Medal. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from UMass Amherst in 1957 and a master’s in business administration from Columbia University in 1959. Howard lives in Miami Beach, Florida.
