Susan Hagedorn ’77
Susan Hagedorn is a former professor and nurse practitioner at the University of Colorado. Her clinical interests over her thirty-year career included school-based health and incarcerated youth focusing on the experiences of street youth and the relationships between youth violence and substance abuse. She retired in 2007 and is currently developing her skills in documentary media studies at The New School in New York City. Hagedorn earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from UMass Amherst in 1977 and doctorate from the University of Colorado. Hagedorn serves on the UMass Amherst School of Nursing Dean’s Advisory Board and lives in New York City.
