Dorothy Dunklee Gavin ’43
Dorothy Dunklee Gavin is a charter member of both the UMass Amherst Alumni Association and the Chancellor’s Council. She has served as Class Gift Coordinator for her 50th, 55th and 60th Class Reunions and in 1983 received the Alumni Association Special Citation for Meritorious Service to UMass. Gavin and her husband, Joseph, created the Edna Skinner Fund for which they received the Skinner Legacy Award from the Center for the Family at UMass Amherst in 1996. She received a bachelor’s degree from UMass Amherst in 1943.
