Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, I relocated to Memphis in 2002 to pursue my undergraduate degree in German Language and Literature. In 2003, I made my first trip abroad to study at the Catholic University of Eichstätt in Bavaria. In May 2006, I received a BA from the University of Memphis in Foreign Languages and Literatures with a major in German and a minor in English. I recently returned home after spending a year in Germany as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. My time as a Fulbright Scholar was an integral part of my goal in becoming a foreign language professor. I am currently a first year student in the M.A. German Program at UMass Amherst.
