When not working on her dissertation on vampire figures in contemporary German literature, Laurie teaches the Language Suite that is part of the Thatcher House Residential Academic Program. She also grades papers for and assists with Susan Cocalis's "Witches: Myth and Historical Reality" lecture course, and serves as the book review editor for the "Women in German Newsletter."
In her spare time she can be found cycling the Pioneer Valley.
