UPCOMING EVENT:A PhD IS NOT ENOUGH! MUTUAL MENTORING

Our fall event was held on September 24, 2007 on the UMass Amherst campus. The organizers would like to thank all the speakers, panelists, and attendees to the event, making it a success once again.

NEW SITE: Welcome To GECDI!

Welcome to the homepage for the Graduate Education and Career Development Inititave (GECDI) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Formerly known as APINE, or "A Ph.D. is Not Enough!", GECDI represents an expansion of the spirit behind APINE - to enhance graduate education with skills and experience needed for success that come from outside the classroom. GECDI is a student-run organization serving the entire graduate student community at UMass Amherst.

This site will be an updated and expanded version of the former APINE site, and this process will be ongoing, so we kindly ask that you bear with us during the transition. All former APINE events will be archived here, and new events will also be posted here from now on.
