Laimburg Golden Delicious -- The South Tyrol is more or less famous for Golden Delicious, which, until Gala, Fuji, and Braeburn were planted more recently, was the principle variety grown. It still is in the more northern, cooler Vinschgau Valley. These Goldens were on display at the Laimburg Research Center for Agriculture and Forestry.
