Integrated Science Center to rise at UMass
Daily Hampshire Gazette - April 30, 2007
Construction of the $93 million Integrated Sciences Building at the University of Massachusetts began in September 2006 and is expected to wrap up in the fall of 2008.
Now, contractors are preparing the foundation for the construction of what's called a chiller tower on the east side of Thatcher Way, as well as installing sewer and drain lines for the new building, located on North Pleasant Street past the Morrill Science Center. Once completed, the 155,000-square-foot building will provide flexible research laboratories, faculty office space, a 300-seat auditorium, research space for eight to 10 principal investigators, distance learning capabilities and computer rooms.
